Kent . . . “Then and Now 1900 - 1960”
Personal Memories of Kent

In September 2006 the Greater Kent Historical Society published its first book: “Kent . . . Then and Now 1900 - 1960” capturing personal memories of those people who grew up in Kent.

Books available for $25.00 (including tax)

Kent moves ahead with pride in the past, purpose in the present and promise for the future. In comparison to other cities we are still young and vulnerable with much to learn.

One thing we must learn is to always remember that our achievements are due to the diverse contributions of people who came from the four corners of the world to share their talents and cultures. An old proverb hold great wisdom for use:

Coming together is a beginning;
Keeping together is progress;
Working together is success.

This advice was successfully put into practice by the dedicated members of the Greater Kent Historical Society. Their creative efforts enable all of us to share in the proud history of Kent.
